You Must Be Born Again !

Messiah Yeshua not only declared this as a necessary obligation, but He continued to explain why. "Unless a person is born again, (anew from above), he cannot ever SEE - know, be acquainted with and experience - the kingdom of God". (John 3:3 Ampl.)
For a very long time, I had been quite puzzled at the condition of so-called "born again" believers. While many were considered to be fanatical in their noisy faith, even rather obnoxious..........the vast majority of "believers" seemed to be lovers of their  Savior, they were still very comfortable in the ways of the world. Even seeming to be envious of those lifestyles they wished to have for themselves once again. Not in practice, maybe, but with resentment at having to "give things up" to be Christians. So, the term "born again" must have to have been connected to the term "Spirit filled" as an identifying factor. I often remembered a statement made by a well known minister who said, "Many professing  "Spirit-filled Christians" conduct themselves as if they were baptized in mud !" True story. But that set me to thinking about it for years. In the past and recent years, this puzzle had become my quest. The following came suddenly, as is typical of Abba's  "AHA"s answers and revelations. I pray that my precious Councilor, Teacher, and Set-apart Guide will inhabit the keyboard and my fingers, as i try to relate His Heavenly Analogy.
"My Daughter, have you not experienced the process of new life in becoming a mother to six babies?" (including your three baby boys who were collected by the angels and carried prematurely to Yeshua's welcoming arms ) Then I heard, "At what point did each child become your children?" The answer came clearly as "At conception, of course". And so, in an instant, ignites the spark of life. As I began to think about the next stages of life following conception, a vision began to appear. The gestation of every new life is measured in three stages of growth, called 'trimesters'. In trimester number one, the baby is formed. Trimester number two, more development. And number three, the maturing is being readied and positioned to begin the birthing journey through the birth canal. The characteristic of that journey is usually the beginning of birth pangs and/or the "breaking of the waters". The baby's plight is now some extreme pressure that was never experienced in the cozy womb. And for the mother, the pain is increasing in succession and intensity. (The sorrows before the new birth about to occur).

Upon asking what Holy Spirit was teaching, His answer immediately began. The very seed of conception was the 'spark' of new life that is called 'Salvation'. (trimester number one) In that, Yeshua becomes your Savior. (trimester number two) brings a maturing process that would be called "Yeshua Messiah is Lord of my life". As these become fully formed, the space within the womb grows less cozy and stirs up new desires to find more freedom to move about. The walls are closing in more each day. Suddenly the position of this child is turning toward the birth canal....head first. Life is now upside-down ! There is a feeling of despair,  and helplessness that wasn't there before. Life isn't "fun" anymore ! "HELP" cries the infant. At that surrender, and helplessness, there comes as a "rushing mighty wind" with tongues of fire and a baptism of sheer LOVE. (Acts 2: 1-4)   There is now the completed process aptly called "Born Again" ! (John 3: 3) Upon the first breath taken, the Spirit of God Himself floods the child, fulfilling His Word, "I have been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, not I but Christ....."( Galations 2:20) Christ is now my Savior, my Lord, and my LIFE! This New Birth then is the culmination of trimester number three. So, now begins all the stages from infancy to adulthood of the spirit and the soul. Buckle up. Your journey (even with some pretty rough  times), will be worth it all when you take your place in the throne room of your King !
